- New Northwestern University Project DRIVE — Powering Vision Pro Wheelchair Control The software bridge that makes Vision Pro wheelchair eye control possible was built at Northwestern University. Prof. Brenna Argall's Project DRIVE team developed an open Wheelchair Digital Interface (WDI) — a standard that lets emerging assistive input methods communicate with wheelchair drive systems. Apple integrated this academic research directly into the Vision Pro feature rather than building from scratch. Partners include LUCI (smart wheelchair sensors) and LifeDrive Mobility LLC. Funded by the NSF. Launches September 2026.
- University of Michigan — VR Therapy for MS Patients A University of Michigan professor earned national recognition for using VR to bring nature experiences to patients whose mobility is limited by multiple sclerosis — treating depression through immersive presence when physical presence isn't possible.
- Brain Games Studio — Rodney: ALS + Brain-Computer Interface + XR Brain Games Studio's work with Rodney, who uses thought-controlled BCI technology combined with XR to operate lights, play music, and feed his dog despite ALS. A demonstration of how immersive technology can restore agency for people with severe mobility limitations.
- Low-Latency 3D SBS HDMI Capture for Surgical Use Community exploration of live stereoscopic surgical visualization on Vision Pro — capturing a live 3D side-by-side HDMI feed and streaming it to the headset with low latency. Still in early-stage community development but a compelling medical imaging angle.

- New Full Sail University — Spatial Computing Innovation Lab First higher education institution in the US to be equipped with the Blackmagic URSA Cine Immersive. The lab includes 50 Apple Vision Pro devices, 6 iMac M4, and 2 Sony Bravia 98-inch displays. Students in film, recording arts, gaming, live event production, and emerging technologies have access. - New Purdue PVM Pro Tips for Animal Health Purdue University's College of Veterinary Medicine launched a Vision Pro app with step-by-step tutorials for at-home pet care — nail trimming, ear cleaning, bandaging, medication administration. - New Going 3D: A Practical Spatial Toolkit for Education and Beyond Apple Education Community member @PaulAR is sharing a curated "Spatial Toolkit" — a collection of apps, AI tools, and devices to help schools, businesses, and developers move beyond the flat screen into 3D creation, visualization, and interaction. - New Southwest Airlines — MockThru Spatial Environment Modeling Southwest Airlines' Technology Innovation team built MockThru, a custom Apple Vision Pro app that replaces physical foam core mockups with immersive spatial walkthroughs of customer and employee environments. At AWE USA 2026, Sr. Innovator Jeffrey Berthiaume and Lead Technology Innovator Justin Leger demoed the app live — walking through the audience at life size with AR models, ending with a virtual jet bridge leading into the convention center lobby where a full life-size plane was placed in AR. - New Focus — Cognitive Performance Training for Elite Sport & Corporate Environments Focus is a visionOS app using Apple Vision Pro's spatial computing, eye tracking, and hand tracking to deliver structured cognitive performance training — reaction time, decision-making, response inhibition, and other protocols used across elite sport, rehabilitation, and corporate performance environments. - Microsoft Intune — Userless ADE for visionOS Vision Pro can now be enrolled and managed through Apple Business Manager via Microsoft Intune without requiring a user account — a meaningful step toward institutional and shared deployments.
- iRacing Connect — Motorsport Simulation The world's most popular online racing simulator on Vision Pro. Uses visionOS foveated streaming and Nvidia CloudXR to blend a virtual cockpit with a physical racing setup.

- The Mandalorian Director Uses Vision Pro to Preview IMAX Director Jon Favreau had Disney build a custom Apple Vision Pro app to preview the full IMAX scope of The Mandalorian and Grogu during filming — making him one of the first filmmakers to use Vision Pro as a practical production tool at feature scale.
- NASA Artemis II — Filmed in Apple Immersive Video The Artemis II launch was captured in Apple Immersive Video. When the content is released on Vision Pro, viewers will be able to experience one of the most significant moments in human spaceflight from inside the experience. - 700-Year-Old English Almshouse — Guided Immersive History Tour A guided immersive tour of a medieval English almshouse directed by Keeley Turner and shot by Hugh Hou — one of the more thoughtful uses of Apple Immersive Video for cultural preservation and historical education.
- Bastille Day — Immersive Flashback For the first time, France's Bastille Day was captured as an Apple Immersive Video film — letting viewers experience the celebration from President Macron's side. 3,500+ screenings. During European Heritage Days: 15 Vision Pro headsets, 6-person team, 2,000+ viewers over two days. Available at Maison Élysée on Vision Pro — may be geo-locked to France.
- New OrangeCue — Trinity: An Immersive Lament in the Age of Extinction OrangeCue is a suite for synchronized multi-device playback and show control built specifically for shared Apple Vision Pro experiences. Its first major deployment: 40 Vision Pro headsets running simultaneously for Lena Herzog's immersive poem "Trinity — An Immersive Lament in the Age of Extinction" at the Venice Biennale, June 2026. Trinity is a one-hour trilogy of music, visual art, and film dedicated to cultural extinction, war and peace, and renewal. OrangeCue Hub (Mac) acts as the control center; OrangeCue Client runs on each Vision Pro.
- New Palais Garnier — "Dans les pas d'une Étoile" Immersive Installation The Opéra national de Paris opened a permanent Apple Immersive Video installation at the Palais Garnier: 10 Vision Pro headsets in the Rotonde du Glacier, running July 1 through November 30, 2026. Directed by Matthieu Genre, the 10-minute, 180° stereoscopic AIV experience follows principal dancer Bleuenn Battistoni through spaces normally closed to the public — studio rehearsals beneath the dome, costume fittings, and up to the rooftops. Co-produced with INIT Lab; scenography by Tom Ducarouge. Tickets are €12, an add-on to any Palais Garnier visit.
- Cosmos in Focus — Atlantic Studios A mixed reality experience transforming your space into a virtual planetarium built around James Webb Space Telescope imagery.
